1 What type of 3MF?

Creates customer-ready flat artwork with a continuous backing layer and flush color regions. Ideal for AMS-style signs and logos.

2 Image settings

Whole picture preserves the visible image. Remove background traces the subject and uses a fitted backing. Automatic removal works best with a fairly plain background.

Tap a palette swatch to choose the pen color. Draw directly in Top view, or erase stray dots. Export uses your edits. Flat keeps every color at the same height, with a continuous backing under the whole model.

A one-color emboss, with an actual varying 3D surface instead of fake shading.

Exports a continuous one-color backing plus aligned color regions with standard 3MF colors, per-face filament paint codes, and slicer project palette metadata. Flat mode keeps the top surface flush while preserving a full backing layer underneath. In Bambu Studio 2.5+, use the Standard 3MF Import Color dialog and choose Color match, not Append; check filament slots before slicing. Always check the sliced color preview.

PlasticImage 3MF v0.6.1 exports watertight smooth-outline mesh volumes and color metadata for Bambu Studio/OrcaSlicer. Import behavior differs among slicer versions, so verify the preview before printing. Photographs are reduced to a limited filament palette; one image cannot recover unseen 3D geometry. Height is exaggerated only in the viewer.
